Mortimer, the Moose

Preston loves his moose named Mortimer (according to the tag). I had the moose laying next to Preston while I was packing for our trip just an inch or two out of his reach. (I'm trying to get him to start rolling to grab things.) Usually, he just sits and stares. Today I looked over and he had grabbed Mortimer and stuffed him in his mouth. I don't think Preston rolled but he is getting good at kicking his legs and scooting to adjust his position.

Also, the other night we tried to go geocaching to find the cache that alluded us last time. After searching for a good 30 minutes through tall weeds, we turned around once again defeated. When we got home we looked up the cache online only to discover the owner had come and removed the cache 3 days earlier. What a bummer!

Three Months Old

We love this little boy. And are enamored by his little feet. They are just so cute! He is happy just kicking around on the floor and puts everything in his mouth these days. He's getting good at grabbing things and talking more and more.

Dublin St. Patrick's Day Festival

With a name like Dublin, you would think the St. Patrick's Day Festival in our town would be a good one. So, we donned our green attire and joined the rest of the green crowd to see what it was all about.

Nate and I decided it wasn't the best festival we have been to in the Bay Area. Although, our judgment could have been affected by our poor timing. We missed the parade, the Irish Dancers and the sheepherding. However, it was nice to get out and enjoy the beautiful day.

We're not sure Preston enjoyed it. He slept the whole time or at least pretended to. We think he may have just been enduring the Baby Bjorn since one hand stayed clenched and the other one frozen open a good portion of the time.

Close up of his hands. This angle doesn't show how stiff his left hand really was.

NBA Game: Warriors vs. Blazers

Our friends, the Davis', invited us to join them at a Warriors game last Thursday night. Jeremy had been given his company's tickets on the 6th row. Nate enjoyed watching the game in the elitist seats while I enjoyed doing what girls do best - chatting with Kelli.

We left Preston with a babysitter. We all survived - though I became a little worried when the babysitter called to say Preston wasn't taking his bottle of pumped milk. Luckily, I had also left some formula and he took that okay. What a funny boy.

At the game. Not our favorite picture but the only one we have from the game so it's making it on the blog. Otherwise it probably wouldn't.

Blessing Weekend

Sunday Preston was blessed in church. We were fortunate to have many family members come in to town for the weekend. We have great families! Nate did a wonderful job on the blessing.

Preston was a little spoiled over the weekend with all the arms ready to hold him, even while sleeping. Monday after everyone was gone he reverted back to his old ways and refused to let me put him in his crib to sleep. Every time I put him down he would cry and the minute I picked him up he would be sound asleep. He just wanted to be held to sleep. Ah- the training starts over again! (I do have to say he's doing much better today. He's actually taken his naps in the crib.)

He also giggled for the first time this weekend. It melted my heart! What a cute sound. He's been close to giggling before but this was the first full on giggle. We haven't been able to elicit the same sound since he giggled but luckily there were several people who witnessed it.
