HMB Pumpkin Festival

Yesterday we spent a hew hours at the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival to help us get into the Halloween spirit. We got down there in time to watch the Pumkin Parade which featured this year's biggest pumpkin winner along with any local who wanted to dress up walk the route.

We spent the rest of the afternoon checking out the local art vendors (our favorites were the blown glass pumpkins and photos by Pep Ventosa),

eating pumpkin rolls and pumpkin ice cream,

and watching Farmer Mike - Award Winning Pumkin Carver.

The Pumpkin festival is a lot of fun; it's been years and years since I've attended one, though. Sadly, I guess it's one of those things you just mtake for granted after you've lived here awhile. I want to definitely check it out next year, though :).

Now that's a really pumpkin festival! I heard on the radio last week that just over 1,200 lbs was the winner in a Utah contest. How was that pumpkin ice cream? Yum,yum.

amazing pumpkin carving. Hurray for Nate passing all the cpa exams... and we all know it was only possible because of the wind beneath his wings!
