4th of July Festivities

Our 4th of July weekend was rather eventful! My brother and his family came to visit from Oregon. Preston loved spending time with his cousins. We spent Saturday in San Francisco checking out Fisherman's Wharf, the Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street and Poly Anne Ice Cream and a few other tourist things. On Sunday we ventured over to Half Moon Bay to do a little geocaching and see the tidal pools. Monday the festivities started off with a ward pancake breakfast, then a picnic in the park. After the park we came home and went swimming at our pool. In the evening we went to watch the local fireworks show. By the end of the weekend I think everyone was exhausted but it was so fun to spend time with family.

Waiting for In-N-Out at Fisherman's Wharf

Watching the sea lions. There were only 4 or so. It's sad that they aren't there anymore. Here Preston is pointing out the boat coming in!

Cousins! We were lucky to get this shot in. All they wanted to do was run around.

Jason and his boys checking out the water

Preston's car buddy. Tyson would read to Preston in the car and just entertain him.

Ryder got so much joy out of running through the water

Preston got joy out of throwing sand

The Jacobson boys looking for sea glass

Their 1st geocache find. Ryder made the official snag.

Looking in the tidal pools. We saw tons of small hermit crabs

4th of July breakfast. Preston is obsessed with bikes and scooters.

Our friend, Chris Cooper, happened to bring some extra scooters for the parade. Tyson and Ryder were so excited to use them.

The playground floor was too hot for bare feet. They went on to get a frisbee and couldn't get off fast enough.

Tyson is getting pretty good at swimming on his own. The boys loved the pool.

Preston has a great smile in the pictures, I'll bet he had a great time with the boys.
