Geocaching in the City

Saturday we met up with some friends to take advantage of the beautiful, sunny San Francisco weather and do a little geocaching in the city. We love geocaching because it takes you places you may not otherwise visit and allows you to see things you may normally overlook. In fact, we found a cache hidden within feet of where I would stand every morning waiting for the shuttle to take me to work. Who knew there was one hidden so close?

I've Made Up My Mind

I think Preston woke up on Monday morning and decided he was finally ready to roll. After two weeks of showing absolutely no interest since he first rolled on his own, we found him on his belly in his crib Monday morning looking smug. Then, yesterday he rolled back to front twice. Since then it has grown exponentially. If only he could roll himself back off his belly! Tonight after we put him down for bed he started screaming hysterically. We found him on his belly squished in the corner. After being summoned four more times by Preston's crying to roll him back over, I think he may finally be asleep. Ah - I have a feeling we have a few sleep deprived nights ahead.

On a different note, Nate's parents were in town over the weekend. Preston was spoiled with all their attentions. (We aren't complaining either.) We went into the city Monday afternoon and walked up Market Street to the Ferry Building while waiting for Nate to get off of work. Preston loved the hustle and bustle of rush hour.

More Water, Please!

Preston has really started showing an interest in what Nate and I are eating. Earlier this week he watched intently as I got myself a drink of water. So - I decided to see what he thought. I was surprised at how well he sipped down the water from a cup. Now he can't seem to get enough and expects it everytime someone near him has a drink. Yesterday he whimpered every time Grandpa DeFries walked away from the glass of water.

I was determined to wait until 6 months to start introducing solids but now - I'm thinking he may be ready. We may start sooner than I thought.
